The Dorset Lost and Found Cat Register was set up at the end of August 2005 with the aim of reuniting lost and found cats with their owners throughout Dorset. Many cats become members of the family and often are the only regular companionship a person may have, therefore when one does go missing for any length of time it can leave family members distraught and often grieving.

Please don't give up hope.

This website contains details of lost and found cats in Dorset and will be updated on a regular basis.
If you would like to report a cat lost or found please download, complete (with as much detail as possible) and return the relevant form to me by email, fax or post as soon as possible.

You may also want to visit some of the other web sites on our Links page where there are details of other cats that have been lost and found plus other information that may be of general use to pet owners.

Please remember that if you find a cat or one that you don't recognise, that has taken up residence with you it is very likely (though not always) somebody elses LOST cat! Please do your best to take it to a vet to be checked for a Microchip and contact your local Echo as they will quite often place an advert in the paper for animals that have been FOUND - free of charge!

If you have requested that your cat's details be placed on the Register and Website, please ensure that you keep your contact details up to date and notify me when your cat returns home or is found.

All Lost and Found Cat's details will remain on the website for 9 months and at the end of that period if I am not able to contact you to establish if the cat has been reunited with the family, I will automatically remove the details - this is to ensure that all cats genuinely still lost or found will have a better chance of being seen by those looking.

Please note I run this register in my own time and am not paid so any donations towards its upkeep and maintenance would be very greatly appreciated no matter how small.

Thank you for for visiting the website and I hope cats and owners are very quickly reunited.
